SERVICES

B'nai Shalom provides daily morning minyanim for those who want to daven each day, or if you have a Yahrzeit¹. Here is the schedule:

Shacharit
Monday - Friday	6:13 a.m.
Shabbat	9:00 a.m.
Sunday and Federal Holidays	9:00 a.m.
Mincha
Shabbat	After Kiddush, normally around 12:30 p.m. November through March only. During DST, about 1.5 hours before sundown when the Rabbi is in town.
Maariv
By special arrangement only¹
Kabbalat Shabbat
Time varies by season. See the home page for details. Usually about 10 minutes after candlelighting.

¹ If you have a Yahrzeit and plan to attend, or if you have a Yahrzeit on a day we do not ordinarily have services, please contact the shul office at least a week in advance so that we can ensure a minyan for you.

B'nai Shalom provides a number of other ritual services, including:

Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah opportunities for member's children
A full schedule of services on yom tovim and high holidays
Special services according to tradition (selichot, megillah readings, etc.)

ERUV

As of the fall of 2012, the North Buffalo Grove Eruv is DOWN and will be until further notice.

Congregation B'nai Shalom sits in the middle of the North Buffalo Grove Eruv (please see Eruv FAQ for more info on what is an Eruv) of Buffalo Grove. A map of the Eruv shows the boundaries. Here's contact info.

In November, 2004, the Ronald Simon South Buffalo Grove Eruv extension was added. It shares the Deerfield Road boundary with the North Buffalo Grove Eruv.

Both the North and South Eruvim in Buffalo Grove are supervised under the auspices of Rabbi Pickholtz of Bay Shul.

The approximate boundaries of the South Buffalo Grove Eruv are:

Starting at the corner of Deerfield Road and Weiland Road
South along Weiland Road to Rte 83, where it also intersects with (a different) Aptakisic Road
West along Aptakisic Road to Buffalo Grove Road
South along Buffalo Grove Road to Dundee Road
West along Dundee Road to Old Buffalo Grove Road
South along Old Buffalo Grove Road to Buffalo Grove Road to Old Buffalo Grove Road to Hintz Road
West along Hintz Road to Arlington Heights Road
North on Arlington Heights Road to Old Arlington Heights Road
North on Arlington Heights Road to Dundee Road
West on Dundee Road to Arlington Heights Road
North on Arlington Heights Road to Rte 83
South along Rte 83 to Deerfield Road
East along Deerfield Road to Weiland Road
